The Kernel, Table Beer
The Kernel, Table Beer
Just had a bottle of this, wow this is great beer. Had anyone tried recreating it? 3.2%, citra, amarillo and columbus came out straw colour. I wouldn't have believed that a 3.2% beer could have so much flavour, I could drink it all day.

Have a read here.

I made a nice 3.2% beer following the guidlines.
I did over steep the hops and got a high bitterness that faded after
a couple of weeks .
Yeast and malt backbone are key with oats for mouthfeel and a
higher mash temp .

Re: The Kernel, Table Beer
quick word of warning, the kernel tend to not brew the same batch twice - so their table beer has gone by a few different recipes in the past. obviously the listed hops help to identify the batch in question, though..
dazzled, doused in gin..
