United Utilities Data

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

United Utilities Data

Post by phill71 » Sat May 18, 2013 10:25 pm

Hi
I live in Manchester and my local water board is United Utilities.

I've printed off the water data, but there seems to be a lot of info missing.

Does anyone have the following figures

Calcium Ca
Magnesium Mg
Sodium Na
Sulphate S04
Chloride Cl
Carbonate C03
Alkalinity HC03 & CaC03

Cheers

Put your postcode in here about half way down the page, not in the search box at the top. That'll give you the top 6 but for total alkalinity you'll need to email them :)

Sorry, should have added to click the link to " view detailed report ". Again about half way down the page once you've got the basic report displayed :)

Recommend you get Murphy's to analyse it. We're all hopeful that crookedeyeboy (Murphy employee) is going to be able to get a deal for Jim's :D

If your water is anything like the water I get on the outskirts of Manchester and supplied by UU, then it will be softer than the andrex puppy's behind. You'll probably be wanting to add stuff in(gypsum, calcium chloride), rather than take it out.
