1.7kg Coopers Stout
1.5kg Wilkos Newky Brown (Dark Ale)
1.5kg Wilkos Lager
1kg dark DME
quarter tin treacle

Hoping the dark DME will give good body.

SG 1088 - lets see how this goes :)
Don't worry, it will have plenty of body. The 1kg of dextrose in the Coopers recipe is probably there to help reduce the body slightly.

Your FG is likely to be in the mid 20's.

My RIS was 1.084-1.022.

What size FV have you got it in?

Cheers

Yeah, I've kept a couple of bottles back in my special crate in the garage. It was brewed in April 2012.

It's a full on drink that requires lots of conditioning. Make sure that you bottle it in small bottles, my mistake was using 500 & 568ml one's #-o

Bit of an update. It was started Saturday night and then left to cool in 2 FVs to room temperature ~20c. Distributed the 3 yeast packets between each each FV evenly.

Both FVs were off like a train Sunday and each 10L bucket probably had 10l krausen. Temperature was probably too high at 22c. Airlock bubbling away merrily. Ive moved the FVs to a cooler part of the kitchen at present which is just on 20c. The krausen has really sunk into probably an inch worth and no airlock activity.

FWIW I couldnt take a gravity reading as my hydrometer is broken. Had a quick taste also and really nice. Gave everything a big stir with a santised spoon and Ill wait some more.

Taking its time, 1036 from 1088 after a week. Around 6.8% Brought the temp back up to around 20c. Very little activity which makes me slightly worried.
