Fitting a corny post to a barrel.

Post by Midlife » Sun May 10, 2015 9:13 am

Has anyone changed the S30 valve to a keg post for pressurising a barrel? I want to use my C02 bottle and kit that I use with my corny keg rather than the smaller C02 bottles for S30s... Would be interested to know where you can get a fitting and seal for a corny gas in post.

Cheers

Doug

Yep, I managed it. Still working really well with no sign of a leak. See this post.

I got a little thing made from delrin, which just plugs into a JG fitting. It may not be what you want but it works for me when I need it.
I think I have a pic, I'll post it here in a bit,

The White delrin just plugs into the s30 valve, you have to hold it. Then turn the stop cock, the prob is the rubber bands on the s30 as it takes a bit of pressure to get the gas to go in.

You should be able to fit a JG bulkhead fitting to the cap (with a bit of tweaking) and then put a shut off valve in the line
