Adding hops to Nelsons Revenge?

Is it worth it?

im often disapointed in the hoppiness of kit beers and have taken to adding them myself, however with this 2 can kit im not so sure.

Has anyone tried it? On the woodfordes site it says its quite hoppy, but thats the cask/bottled stuff, not the homebrew.

If so, ive got Fuggles, Goldings and Progress in the freezer and plan to either Dry hop 50g into the cask, or boil/steep 25g/25g for 10 mins or so.

Any collective wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated prior to tonights brewing.

I dunno but 50g seems a lot to dry hop with to me. IIRC the hop plugs breweries chuck into 9 gallon casks weigh 14g

I dry hopped my Woodfordes Wherry in secondary (12 days) with 20g Goldings. I have only just bottled it but I had a sample and it tasted great and had a good strong hoppy aroma.

i used 25g in a mini boil into the fv last time i used hops and i dry hopped about 20g the previous time.. these are my only ever dealings with hops so any pointers are greatly received.

I dryhop Muntons and Woodforde's kits because I like hoppy ales and the extra involvement, but I'm not sure it's actually necessary. I use around half that amount and tend to leave in for around 4-7 days of secondary only, to avoid the 'grassiness' some drinkers detect.
