Centennial IPA

Post by m_rawdin » Sun Feb 07, 2016 6:05 pm

Just finished my second AG brew day, an IPA with centennial hops. My OG seems a little high at 1.050, was supposed to be around 1.042 and was a little short of the 23 litres I wanted. Can I add water to the FV to get it closer to the 1.042 and get closer to 23 litres?

I've added a bit more water which doesn't seem to have done much to the OG but I'm closer to 23 litres. I've added the yeast anyway so see how it goes...

You should be fine. Did you use any brewing software? Beersmith is the go to one in my view and will help getting you closer to the numbers. Nice set up by the way, would have loved that for my second AG brew. :D
