Any groups in or around the Preston area?
Any groups in or around the Preston area?
I'm just north of Preston, in Garstang. Are there any others in the area that know of any clubs, or who would be interested in trying to help get one started if there was enough interest? There's a good LHBS in Leyland, so there must be plenty in the region somewhere.!

I don't fancy trailing all the way from Garstang to Liverpool.!Haydw wrote:Am in Leyland myself, nearest club I could find is in Liverpool and they are a great bunch of people.

I'm in Preston, Cottam to be more precise, just north of Preston.
I use Leyland homebrew shop all the time.
I would certainly be interested in joining a club if one was set up.

Sorry to bump this but as I'm new to this forum it needed a mod to approve it and by then it was way down the list.

Excellent, that's a start. Maybe we could ask Joe to stick a sign up in the shop seeing if anyone else is interested. I was just in there last night on the way home from work too.!

I'm about 40 mins from Preston so would be interested.

I'd get the shop owner involved. Then he can suggest the club to his customers.
Never enough time...
Re: Any groups in or around the Preston area?
Ok, so there seems to be about 7 of us on here, theres another guy on another forum who is also interested, plus there may be a couple of people who are part of a Facebook group who might also be interested.
If we were to arrange a meet up in a pub somewhere that is ok with us swapping a few bottles, is everyone ok with the centre of Preston? It's easy to get to by bus or train, so I'm thinking it makes the most sense.
