I have mine attached to the co2 via a cask breather, so lasts well over 4 weeks (that's the longest one has lasted so far)

It has a recirculation pump that is attached to a cooling jacket around the beer engine cylinder. It basically pumps the iced water from the maxi to the beer engine and back. It's just the right amount of cooling for a cask ale.

The other part of the maxi is an internal coil that runs through the iced water. This goes from the corny keg, to the inlet of the coil via John guest fittings, from the outlet of the maxi coil to the beer tap. It provides a much higher level of chilling, ideal for largers, but I serve my hoppy beers through it, and am more than happy with them.

So it's just a plug in thing that you then set the temp at. Does it have to be hooked up to a water supply?

No, just switched on. It has a water tank built in. You can't set the temp either, it just stops short of freezing

I see. Think I've seen some that are hacked with an STC thing. So it doesn't matter where the cask/keg is. Doesn't need to be stored at a set temp. Just hook it up. Draw beer off it through chiller and out it pops cold ready to sup.

Depends what model 110 one 210 two 310, I think you get the picture. Plus a beer engine on the recirculation line

So all come with plus a beer engine feature? I've no idea about these things. But do look very handy for a party set up couple of cornys and a cask be great.
