anybody have used or have one
Re: anybody have used or have one
This looks great - simple, shiny and a good price.
30l looks a bit tight however. I'd probably be happier with 40l kettle so boilovers are not going to happen and full volume mashes would fit eaiser.

Re: anybody have used or have one
looks very similar at first glance to the ace brew boilers found on ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ACE-BEER-MASH ... xycgVTiGBA
though im not sure about the ebay price @ £1089.99 think that may be a 'while restocking' price.
I dont know how efective the double wall is at maintaining a stable mash temp for 60-90 mins??
applying heat during the mash without recirculating the liquor over the heat source is a recipe to denature the active enzymes imho.
Volume is an issue but can be resolved by holding back some liquor till some has been evaporated off or simply liquoring back the finished brew. Or simply brewing slightly smaller batches like the americans (circa 19l) Dont try to boil when too full trust me, its orrible chasing all the spills n splashes resulting from a tad overfull kettle, and can result in lifetime kitchen brewing bans or so im told hrumph!! anyway i liked brewing on the patio,, ..
