Amazon did have some but for around £10.
Mine arrived within a week so sometimes it's not too bad.

its about a week if ordering directly from itead, i received a 16a version with the temp+humidity sensor to fit inplace of the current central heating controller for a 'free' hive system.. that and 2x 10a RF enabled switches cost just over £20 inc delivery I already have a few of the non rf versions

I've got a SonOff a colleague gave me, I've not hacked it as yet but it works well for timing the slow cooker to come on, a 16A one would be great for getting the strike water on whist lazing in bed! One annoying thing is it doesn't have a ground pass through.

You could just join them externally if required.

Yep, I've done that- I've placed it inline in an extension lead but it's not the neatest solution; a 3-way, instead of a 2-way terminal block each end and en extra PCB trace wouldn't have bumped up the price much at all!

Itead don't have the TH version in stock on the website plus shipping prices seem a bit steep. Especially if customs/courier try adding on their chunk.
Will have a look on eBay.

The TH and Pow versions have common earth and neutral terminals..

whoops no th in stock atm tho..

I've 2 of the BrewPiLess controllers built. I had all the parts needed from other projects so all I needed was the esp board. I went with the wemod pro as it has antenna socket. My fridges are in a outside garage so I need the extra wifi range. They'll be used in anger for the first time this weekend.

Hi Rad,
I have been looking at the Nodemcu-E12e (ESP8266), and I am struggling with adding all the software / firmware onto the board. Therefore, do you have any tips that I need to install the Brewpiless code? Ps. I have various software from Arduino IDE and Nodencu Flasher etc, but cannot get the thing to work?

Any help will be appreciated.

What version of the Arduino software are you running Rob? Do the especially boards show up in the board manager?

How is it failing ? Can you compile the code but not upload it to the Nodemcu ? Or doesn't the code compile ?
If you're having issues compiling it then check you have the right version of the Arduino IDE + the ESP8266 boards plugin.

have you booted the esp into flashing mode, iirc its acomplished by grounding gpio0 before the board is powered up, the node mcu boards generally have a lil button wired to this pin combo so you only been press the button before you power on.

In the IDE, have you set the correct device flash size? 1mb is common.

I had to change the baud rate to get it to upload onto my nodemcu. Working perfectly now.
