Hi all.
I'm trying to find out the thread size/type that are used on cornie for the connecting posts. At present I'm updating my bar set up and would like to find a way of making a threaded tube so I can attach a gas post at either end so I can disconnect my gas bottle easily from the secondary regulators.

Thread type on cornie?
Re: Thread type on cornie?
Various.
"What Type/Size Posts Will Fit on My Corny Keg?
The first thing to determine is the type of keg that you have - Firestone, Spartan, Super Champion, John Wood, Challenger, etc.
In order to determine what type of posts will fit on your keg, you'll need to start by determining the brand of the keg. You can determine the type/brand of your keg by looking at the stamp/markings on the side.
Use the chart below to determine what size posts your keg has.
Keg Type Gas Post Size - Thread Liquid Post Size - Thread Product Link
Cornelius Spartan 19/32" - 18 19/32" - 18 View Product
Cornelius R (Pin Lock) 19/32" - 18 (2 Pin) 19/32" - 18 (3 Pin) View Product

Re: Thread type on cornie?
If it isn't to fit on a corny, there are also posts available with other (often less weird) fittings for adapting things like lids or keg couplers to take corny disconnects. e.g. here and here

Re: Thread type on cornie?
Thanks for the different ideas of thread types. the last link of BALL LOCK POST GAS 5/8 THREAD looks like a simple way of solving my issues.

Glad it was of use, Andrew. It could be worth checking what thread the 5/8ths is - I'd guess BSP but it need not be.

Re: Thread type on cornie?
definitely works perfect for a 5/8" bsp thread (as on some couplers). also the bulkhead posts in the other link do screw into deep 1/4" bspp sockets.
another option perhaps a bit less neat is using the carbcaps that have a hosetail on them that fits 3/8" line
ADDED: of course when you're onto bsp fittings you can do all kindsa pointless shiz. enter the tertiary regulating detatchment bleed coupler..
