part to remove
Hi all i have one of these crusader kegs and im not sure what part of the spear i remove. Ive searched the forum and there seems to be lots on this but all pictures are not there anymore. If anyone has a picture of what has to come off i would be great full

Don't have a picture but at the top of the spear around the top of the spring there's a metal ring.
Can be pulled off with pliers

It would probably help if you posted a picture of your spear. There are different types (they have differed even from the same supplier), and people will tend to just assume yours is the same as theirs, but they may not be.
I guess by 'remove' you're referring to the safety? If so, some are easy enough to defeat that they can be left in place, whilst others are a bugger and too frustrating unless removed (and those from the malt-miller are unencumbered by safeties to begin with).
(BTW if using youtube, there are international differences too; ours don't tend to have the circlip thing on top of the spear, common in the US for example)
