Splitting 5 gallon kit into two fermenters

Post by soupdragon » Sat May 19, 2018 12:13 pm

Hi all

Circumstances dictate that I may need to minimise my lifting of heavy weights, so...............

Has anyone ever split a 5 gallon kit into two full size fermenters? Including splitting the sachets of yeast, stabiliser and finings. Not sure about making the whole batch up in one with a tap while it's on the worktop rather than the floor then dropping half into the second vessel as I'd be concerned about leaving the tap covered in product. Could try to clean it as best as I can but would still worry .

Any thoughts?

Cheers. Tom
