Hello,
I'm thinking of getting an SS Brewtech 5.5 Gallon (US galllons) that's available at The Malt Miller & other sites. I do 1 gallon batches at the moment but want the flexibility to occasionally do 2 gallons.
Does anyone have this pot and know what the smallest batch I can do on it would be (I'd like to go as low as 1 or 1.5 gallons on it)
I do full volume, BIAB mashes, no sparge. Nearly all my brews are 3.2 to 4.5 ABV.
Any help would be appreciated!
What's the minimum batch size on a SS Brewtech 5.5 Pot?

Hi
Interested to know why you do such small batches.
The SS brewtech you're thinking of getting would have loads of air space above the brew. The chance of infection could be quite high.
What do you use at the moment to ferment your brews in?

Brew UK do a mini bucket which is suitable for smaller batches. Not sure on 1 gallon batches as I have no real experience of using a fermenter with so much head space.
