Found some wild hops

They have turned a bit brown. Will they still be ok

Probably not. That happened to a lot of the hops I used to harvest from my hop plants. They need to be dried immediately and really quickly. I never managed to get this quite right and ended up with a lot of brown and frankly horrible hops that ended up in the compost.

go back next year around the middle of september, they should be spot on. I've found some crackers myself,sadly the same condition as your find.My mate put me on to them,the photos he had of them, they looked glorious!When i got investigated there were a few decent cones and they smelt like a subtler version of mosiac! im going back next year with a large number of bin bags, ill need 25 kg minimum!

Had a look at them they were a bit old. But will be back next year to harvest.
