Top Thread Revival

Post by orlando » Mon Oct 08, 2018 7:00 pm

As an old lag on this forum I have seen some exceptionally good posts and a lot of selfless work carried out by others. Unfortunately as time goes by a lot of really good stuff gets "lost". I wanted to check my PBW quantites and remembered JMC's fantastic spreadsheets for that and Starsan . Enjoy.

Great idea, once the 404 error is fixed, would it be possible to make this sort of post a sticky in the sanitation and cleaning section?

I suspect there are lots of other really high-quality older posts which are difficult to find using search.

Apologies. I didn't check the thread. I just tried uploading the .xls file but it was returned as an invalid file extension. Hopefully Jim sees this and can advise.

Looks like John had that file on his own server, and it's no longer there. I don't have the file, so I can't fix the link; however I'll email John and see if he still has it somewhere and can send it to me, and I'll host it on the JBK server.

I have version 3 if it is the latest, can't see why not and would do the job. Let me know if you have no joy.

That would do for a start. If I get a newer one from John I'll replace it. Can you email it to me please?

Sure, but your contact is through the Forum only and that won't let me do that. Can you PM me with it?

Thanks Orlando! That link is fixed now, and I reckon that's the latest version, as it's got the same filename as the original - PBW_UKv3.xls.

To save people having to search for the thread to find the link, I've added it to the 'Calculators' page on JBK - https://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/extras.htm .
