STC 1000 "EF" error code

I had a spare STC 1000 sitting in a shed. It got very wet.

Dried it out and when I flash it up, it beeps and displays "EF".

I tried disconnecting the temperature probe but it made no difference.

Is it knackered?

Sorted.

Tried it with a different sensor and it's working. The moisture has damaged the LED display and it was actually displaying "EE" but the bottom part of the display is not working.
