The bozooka on the inlet could not cope with all the leaf hop additions.

My first brew on it will be a wit, so no loose hops in the boil. What do you reckon you'll do to fix up the bazooka?

Going to use pellets exclusively from now on with a hop basket.

My 3v rig seems impossible to get a stuck mash or block up with leaf material but this little system was problematic. I’m sure it’s just user error and I just have to adjust my technique or maybe the crush.

I had problems with stuck mashes on my Grainfather.

Kingfisher on here, recommended adding an extra 2 litres of water in the mash and reducing the sparge volume by 2 litres. (On a 23 litre batch). It definitely helped. However, the biggest issue seemed to be over-crushed grain from the supplier, when I was using a slightly coarser grain, then things much better.

Yep that’s a good point. I used the same water ratio as normal so will alter that. Now I have a mill I can alter the crush too.

I’ve read that the malt miller will crush specifically for the grain farther so maybe they do a courser crush.

LeeH,
That link to ebay has the Hop Basket at £26 free P&P, just below it in another link there is the same one for £12 free P&P.
Any particular reason you linked the first one?
We all like to economise. Perhaps you missed the link to the cheaper one?

I think I just picked a U.K. seller that’s all.

For the mash?

No need to as you get a stainless pot with holes in that just pulls and locks in place at the top to drain/sparge.

Personally I would just buy the cheaper robobrew or spend a little more on the grain farther.

looks OK but at the same price as the grarinfather I would stick with the big company and the excellent after sales they provide.
