QUOTE (Vossy1 @ Aug 15 2006, 08:46 AM)IRM, Have you used your cornie to dispense yet? Any tips if so?
I've only had a couple of sips so far!
I was waiting for 4 weeks before a proper sup
Its just set up as Norm sold it to me the tap is mounted in the rubber on the top of the keg with a short approx 20cm of beer line to the out post.

Its about the right level of carbonation for me at the moment, but i don't know what the reg is set to as it doesn't have a gauge (Norm said it was pre set to 10psi)(I'm still thinking about getting a new one with twin gauges)
Its all taking a bit of a back seat at the moment as my combi bolier has packed up
Any Raven heat combi bolier experts out there?

I've got a Fixby Gold and Nelsons Revenge that are almost ready for the corny.
Going to have a look later this pm and see if they're fined outÂÂ
How did you find the tap for dispensing?
It was fine once i knocked the flow down just a touch with the lever on the side.
Although i did find after a week of not trying it at all
the tap was a bit stuck.
I think some beer in the tap must have dried and stuck it a bit, but a good pull on the handle and it moved and dispensed OK.
When i tried again a few hours later (Just for another quality control sip you understand  ) the tap was still nice and free.
So i may when maturing for a few weeks after a control sip take the tap off and rinse through, but once i'm drinking it freqently a pint or two every couple of days i think it will be fine.
You will have to let me know how you get on with yours once you have some beer in them.

I have been using a syringe full of iodophor on my fv's and will probably use it on the corny as well.
When I take my hydro/quality control sample, I spray the iodophor solution into the tap using the syringe, thus cleaning it out.
I suppose any spray bottle would do!
Think I'll go and check my beer

That's not a bad thing..is it
The beer fv's have currently been replaced by the wifes wine as she bottles her chablis blush and starts a pinot grigio!
Got a question for anyone out there, How do I use this regulator properly

I've put 20psi in the corny's to start the carbonation. I've taken the corny off the regulator to give it a bit of a shake, but when I hook back up it still reads 20psi....help
