Stainless cooling coil

Post by Haydnexport » Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:34 pm

I'm looking for a cooling coil to fit a fermenter less than 4" in diameter / width . Similar to this by anvil brewing, I can't find a place that ships to the uk

Have to ask: your FV is less than 4” in diameter, or the coil has to be inserted through a 4” aperture in the FV?

If the former, good luck on your ferment-in-a-Kilmer-jar project, you will need it.

If the latter, look into cask cooling devices (for pubs/real ale). They come in a lot of sizes and are designed to fit in the shive

its for a narrow necked vessel , i have big square colis for my 100l ish fermenters , but would like one that can be put into virtually any size . I'll look into cask coolers now, I have seen what i'm looking for before but forgot the name. I've also seen for the heating side a kind of thermowell sleeve thing that you put a fish tank heater in but god knows where i saw it and what it was called.
