Been over a year since this thread has been updated and I'm planning more beers once my injured leg has healed, so I'm wondering what crossmyloof yeasts people have settled on being good/not so good? :)

What temperature did you ferment it at and how many packets? I probably can't brew till february at the earliest so it could still be cold enough for me to ferment in the garage :)

2 packs at 12 degrees. I made a helles, October fest and have a Czech dark lager. After 2 months lagering the helles is the best I have made to date. The octoberfest is excellent also, was ready to drink with 2 weeks conditioning

Yep the Hell yeast is very good, I've done some cracking lagers lately with it.

Here is the full range: https://www.crossmyloofbrew.co.uk/onlin ... p136687304

Anybody tried their NEIPA yeast?

What a great dejection if hops they have, plenty of 2019 crop too.

I have their 'Haze' yeast on a current kegged batch, not a full blown NEIPA but 300g of hops in there all the same. It has turned out very well.

I used 'Pia' in a lighter Centennial / Pale MO SMASH also on keg which I am also happy with.

Your Tapatalk pro wasn't very 'pro' on this one, was it?! Mind you, I've now learned 'dejection' is a real word!

I've used their Høg Nørsk yeast in a smash and it ferments fast and clean.

Really liked it and bought a few more packets for future brews.

How long did it take to ferment out? Did you go for the top range of 27c?

The whole reason I used it was because I had another brew on the go in my temp controlled fermentation fridge.

As a result, I didn't keep too close an eye on temp as it was just in a cupboard under the stairs but I dare say it was in the upper part of the range most of the time. No esters that I could detect.

It was done clear, and ready to bottle within a week. I let it sit for another week or so just to be certain but the gravity didn't move.

Perfect thanks. I have a day off on Monday and want to squeeze in a quick brew for Christmas day which I can get done with a dry hop charge and into the keg.
