Welcome to the forum Mrs V1 - looks like someone had a productive day. Most of us start out on kits you appear to have gone straight for the grain approach - nicely done.

I trust you have a drink or two down your neck by now by way of a celebration. Did your husband really just stand and drink whilst you got the brew on?

I was never one for just testing the water .... head first, regret later is my moto, but I do have to give V1 "some credit" and he was giving some advice along the way.......

....the advice was "this pint tastes great, I hope your's turns out just as nice!" ... and yes He did just stand there and watch (although I did make him clean up after me !)

We nearly had a beer meets monitor incident here in sunny Darlo!

I've got visions of Vossy stood there leaning on the work surface pint in hand saying "you don't want to do it like that love" like some stereotypical council employee leans on their spade
