Hi JY,

Yes all my beers except my Hefeweizen have used Hogs Back yeast.

I've been really pleased with my last four beers, much better than the one you tried when you visited. If you come over to England in 2007 then please come up to Surrey again and hopefully I should have some good beers for you! Also you can stock up on some English hops/yeast/grain

yes andy i plan to come england next year 8) ( but don't know when yet )
perhaps we could organise a JHBF meeting at that time with a beer competition
anyway, if i can i 'll let you know and it will be great to meet you again

i've brew an oatmeal stout last month, (i'm looking forward to drink it for xmas :P )
i made it with the live yeast that my friend bring me for the cider festival of roscoff. the yeast is from cotswold brewery and i believe it's the same as hogs back brewery , both are from hook norton.

do you think that is that true :?:

JY,

Well the Hogs Back yeast is 100% from Hook Norton, I don't know where the Cotswold Brewery get their yeast from.

Regarding your next visit I'm sure we could organise a JHBF meetup! Phil (seveneer) is not too far away (40 minutes) and has a great HERMS brewery.
There aren't many of those in the UK! The only two I know of are from JHBF members 8)

When you know the date of your next UK visit then let me know and we'll organise a JHBF UK event!

Have a Joyeux Noël !!

Andy.
