Coopers European Lager - Ferment temperature?

I just bought this kit and checked the yeast and it says coopers ale yeast on the packet. Is this normal?

My milestone crusader has just finished brewing with Saflager-23 and it went down to 1010 within 4 days! I think I might reuse the yeast from this brew for the Coopers European to ensure I am using a larger yeast and then dry hop with 12grams of Hallertau.

What did you add the the basic kit ? Was it sugar or Light Spray Malt. I have just bought a Coopers European Lager and I plan to brew it at the weekend.

Yeh, I think so. All of the Cooper's kits (in my experience of 4) they all say "brewer's yeast". I can't remember them saying "ale yeast" - but I remember being disheartened that the special Cooper's Euro kit didn't have a special euro yeast. However, all of the yeasts smell different, so I reckon its the same packaging, but with the right yeast inside.

If it goes horribly wrong, send Coopers an angry letter.

Update on my beer: Its bottled now, and it was the clearest i've ever seen a beer when it came to bottling - I could see the bottom of the fermenter from the top (!) and could see right through the siphon tubing. Its smelling good - however, I didn't have ANY left over (as there was just enough to exactly fill all my bottles), so I didn't have a taste. I'm planning to leave it for at least the 12weeks conditioning time that they recommend (although i've heard that it really doesn't need this, as its a great beer right away) - so I shall be sampling after the 10th May :? :(

Goddammit! Brewing for summer is a pain! :x
