How low can you go!

Most ordinary "bitters" that I brew have crystal malt forming around 5% of the grist in them. Your figures say that your crystal % is 6.4 so I am wondering if that will make the beer look like unfashionable old folks beer?!
I'm sure most of us had a fair few years of drinking under our belts by the age of 21 but I must admit in my youth turquoise coloured vodka based drinks where unheard of!
Brodie's citra at 3.1% is the best low % abv that I have tried, may be something along those lines?

Not sure a wheat beer is the way to go. To the uninitiated they will just think your beer hasn't cleared properly.
I actually think you should brew whatever you brew best. There will be some proper ale drinkers there who will appreciate it. Of the rest, you might convert a couple but most of 'em will want some god-awful luminous thing that you have to drink in a bizarre way, like wot the bloke in Ayia Napa showed them, innit? (Yes, I did have to Google the spelling of that particular holiday desination ).

Well thanks to everyone. You've given me lots of ideas. I think I'm going to buy some light crystal malt and go close to Dave's suggestion. Maybe something similar to Fuller's Discovery. There's a recipe in Graham Wheeler's book. A real ale served chilled! Could be nice on a hot Summer's evening.
