Easy drinking is the way forward, most women won't touch the stuff in a pint glass regardless of what it is. Atleast at the weddings i've been to, they've all entertained wine and spirits. Men usually do the beer/lager thing.
If it were me, i'd go for something easy to drink, roughly 4% and with aroma but not hops for taste, this makes it inviting but not aimed at a particular audience.
As for a name, who knows! whats their surname? I'd call it "wedding crasher" :P

I'm going for a traditional English bitter with MO & Goldings as the cornerstone. It will be approx 3.6% with IBU's only 24. I'm mashing a little low so it will attenuate well for a drier crispier less body style, making it quite quaffable. As for the name Lime Corridor nailed it (5th post) all I'm going to do is change the beer name to "You're The One That I Want" featuring Olivia New To Tom
I am "The Little Red Brooster"

Fermenting:
Conditioning:
Drinking: Southwold Again,

Up Next: John Barleycorn (Barley Wine)
Planning: Winter drinking Beer

FWIW I'm brewing 50l of this (2x25l batches) this weekend for a wedding in 2 months. I've gone for a Deuchar's IPA x TTL at slightly higher strength to improve cask stability. I find maltiness and mouthfeel drop after 6 weeks in cask (as this will have) hence the Munich and Carapils. Everyone loves a beer with Styrian Goldings that is 18-20 EBC. I'm going to ferment this with Wyeast 1728 (Edinburgh) at 20C as I don't want fruity esters, I want to keep the maltiness, I want about 70-75% attenuation, because I have about 800 billion cells in slurry, enough for two batches and finally because I want to see if it works!

Tim's Wedding Bitter

Carapils 200 grams 3.8%
Crystal Malt 200 grams 3.8%
Pale Malt 4400 grams 84.4%
Torrefied Wheat 200 grams 3.8%
Munich Malt 200 grams 3.8%
Chocolate Malt 15 grams 0.3%

Golding 90 mins 26 grams
Fuggle 90 mins 25 grams
Styrian Goldings 10 mins 15 grams
Styrian Goldings 5 mins 30 grams

Final Volume: 25 Litres
Original Gravity: 1.046
Final Gravity: 1.011
Alcohol Content: 4.5% ABV
Mash Efficiency: 74 %
Bitterness: 33 EBU
Colour: 20 EBC
