Element Shrouds Heads Up

Barneey's element looks like the 2400w one, does anyone know for sure if the thread on that element is the same as the 2750w Heating Element Co elements which are 1 9/16" whitworth threads. I am interested in getting some s/s shrouds for my 2.75kw elements but there is the danger that people will get shrouds that don't fit if they are different.

Here you go.... I`ve been after a set for over a year, trubru used to make them, but stopped.

Still waiting on the cover washer for the pot, but as I said if you make the external hole in the thermo pot 50mm the shroud is all you need, good bye KM Nuts

I was thinking along these lines myself as I already have four of these shrouds on a 50l and a 70l single skin SS boiler (two on each). However, with the double walled thermopot you are still going to get a tiny clearance space between the shroud as it goes through the outer wall and before it screws up tightly against the inner wall. This might be a problem if there's an over-boil, or in cleaning off the outside of the pot, as liquid could seep into this gap and into the foam between the walls. I was wondering if it might be possible to have a thread cut on the outside of the shroud, but only on the first inch or so where it butts up to the internal wall, just so that you can screw a large nut onto the outside of the shroud and up against the external wall as well to 'seal' the clearance gap. Not sure what thread size this would be, or the type of large nut you would need.
