Sounds awesome Steve, not sure I can afford that many hops/wait that long, but maybe one day. I suspect with that much alcohol & hops the main danger is not infection, but the cornie melting!

Did you "sparge" the hops in the bolier?

I did for this one as I'd overshot the gravity slightly, and could have done with a bit more volume instead - sparged with 2-3 litres or so and collecteed 23L in the end. I didn't sparge the more recent IPA as I'd hit gravity and volume targets.
