Garth, just to let you know, all is well! the two FV's have started. I think you where right about the yeast levels =D> , FV1 started to ferment first, shortley followed by FV2! FV1 having the higher SG I suspect that one may have got slightley more yeast, which, as you suggested could have a bearing on the OG levels.
So nowt for me to do now but sit back and wait for a few days with this batch to finish. I the mean time my 1st batch should be ready for bottling by mid week.
can't wiat for the day when I can say "Ive made ale!". With help from a few forum members :wink:

good job there WD, it's often a sit and wait game with beer making

I reckon I have become a lot more patient since brewing regulary.
