Small Batch of Stout #01
Re: Small Batch of Stout #01
This is the first time I've bought it. I have also experimented with it (sparingly) in a bitter to give a bit more depth of colour and flavour, it has given it an almost biscuity note in early tastings
Re: Small Batch of Stout #01
I'm still fannying around thinking of names for it.
My current thought is to pay homage to a writer and call it: Bleasd'Ale
So one can raise a glass of the black stuff.

I'm no good with names...
my Otter Dark Stout is called Otter Dark Stout because its made with Maris Otter, its Dark as Satan's bum crack and its Stout.
No imagination me!!!

Here's me thinking that otter was a reference to the dark brown of an otter

Had my first full pint of it today and had company to offer an objective opinion (how objective someone can be whilst quaffing free ale I don't know) and it got the thumbs up. The suggested nomenclature of "Bleasd'Ale" was met with a less enthusiastic reception, possibly too cryptic, but I like the name.
