Excellent research . . . Just sent off a quick email asking if they do a 1/2" BSP version . . . . Otherwise I'm sending off a cheque tomorrow.

Had a reply from March UK - Only available in NPT but that isn't really a problem . . . Time to write a cheque, and get an order in

Just got one from nice Kevin at March May. Fab service - sent cheque on Saturday 22nd, pump arrived Wednesday 26th, so he sent it out before my cheque cleared!

NB pump as supplied not really legal for UK sale: no fitted 13A plug, and the bare-ended cable has American colours. Black is Live, white is Neutral, green/yellow is Earth, for people who haven't come across this before.

That's how they come from the US.
At least we've got a UK source thanks to you 8)

That sort of pump is a commercial cum industrial item. There is nothing illegal about it. Commercial outfits do not bugger about with 13 amp plugs.

Ho yes. They just wire it directly into their control panel.
Presumably a control panel not that dissimilar to yours.

Nah....I've gone for nicely coloured wires...i.e, those that can be found in the 13 amp cable that I bought from Maplins

How do you know anyway....I've not posted a pic of the new control panel yet  :P

I just can't decide on one pump or two. it's more convenient with two but not essential . . . I think its just going to be the one, as I can then buy a lot more of the bits now . . . and add the second pump at a later date.

What are the fittings on the pump . . . just in case I need to order some NPT ones?
Hello Aleman did you ever try making a loop from the RG550 bleed valve to slow it down i haven't had it trip yet since making the modification .I can also adjust the temperature entering the fermenter by adjusting the back flow from the bleed valve

Rab

I've not had time to make any Mods to the current brewery.

I like the idea of a recirc loop and will be putting it in to operation on all teh pumps. As I want to build a 20L femtobrewery for 'pilot' brews I want to get a pump that is more suited to smaller volumes.

Just got my (second) March pump from Morebeer. April rather than May as threatened. I ordered the slide-in pump bracket but they seem to have put the same part number on one of these:

which seems completely useless for that pump, and not worth $20, so I've fired off an email.

Is anyone else having trouble with BT Internet POP3 email at the mo?

Not having had to pay import stuff on the pump, it's looking about £9 cheaper than March May in the UK: if the bank charge me US$1.92 = UK£1 then it should be £115.52 including £10.41 for the bracket.

That's a water filter bracket. I know - I've got one. It's not the pump bracket.

Definately the wrong part there e1n

Morebeer are very good and they will probably send you the correct part F.O.C...fingers crossed
