Longest ferment for a kit cider?

Yeast was pitched on 21/1/08. Still bubbling away now. Albeit rather slowly.

Taking a sample for reading now... Mtf wanders off, fills sample tube and plonks hydrometer in...
1006. At last. 3 days ago it was around 1018. I'll take a reading tomorrow and bottle up. 2 of these bottles will be my La Trappe clay bottles with champagne corks 8) These are to be stored for a minimum of 6 month's. The rest will go in PET's to be consumed at wedding in late March.
It tastes great. I used champagne yeast with the kit instead of the cider yeast provided. This was inspiration. But in hindsight i should have used the cider yeast as i find the champagne yeast produces an overly fizzy, dry cider. Opposite to what i like really. I prefer slighty sparkling, flat is best. Sweet cloudy cider. Dunkertons premium organic was my favourite ever back in UK. Emulating that from a kit will be impossible.

I wonder if good old Safale 04 would make it even sweeter? I've always used it on my Ginger Beers and they've never been too dry.
