How long can I leave it ?

I'm a bit pushed for time next week before I go to work in the afternoon but was hoping to get a cheeky little brew in one morning ... in the likely event that I won't get finished before I'm due to go how long can I leave my unpitched wort without risking infection ?

I regularly leave my wort overnight in the garage to cool. I haven't had any problems that I can attribute to this practice. :)
