Belgian candi sugar crystals

i've got some belgian beers on the go and so have bought some of these candi sugar crystals.

They are infact crystals! are these pretty much the same as the coopers carbonation drops?
I normally mix the sugar in a bottling bin then bottle it, will i have to abandon that and work out the weight of each crystal and add them to the bottles?

ah right, so use the crystals when making up the actual kit! silly me, cane sugar type you can get in shops yeah? what do most you aficionados prime your ales with? cane sugar every time? or is it so insignificant to matter?

very expensive to prime with and also not used in Belgian beers
