Oh, the shame. I've been caught up with many things and forgot to make my yeast starter until last night.
I think I may have to put this one off, as I don't want to risk wasting the yeast. I have some s-05 dry yeast, so maybe I'll sooth my suffering by making a sierra nevada pale batch. I've got extract and cascade around.

So, I just pitched the dry yeast onto this batch:
9.5 liters
1300g Pale DME
140g Crystal 40L
57g Victory Malt
5.7g Warrior (bittering)
14g Perle (flavor)
14g Cascade (flavor)
14g Cascade (steeped for aroma)
S-05
1.053-1.012
35 ibus
Very basic recipe, like many I've made before. It's pretty hard to screw up (knock on wood). I added a bit of Victory because it was lying around and needed to be used up. I am currently drinking a version of this recipe I made a while back just for quick supping, it is 1.037 and 25 ibu. Tastes nice, though.
