Should Isinglass Smell slightly fishy?

I bought some Isinglass from hop and grape, I have never used it before and I am bottling some beer and was going to use it but when I opened it it has a very slight fishy smell. I know its made from fish so I wonder if it is OK for it to smell like fish? It is a very mild smell but is there all the same.
