Samsons Newkie Brown

Well I got this kit underway last night. I'm now getting into a good routine with all this, so no problems or disasters. I made it with 500g of brouhaha sugar and 500g soft light brown sugar. Water used had just under 1 campden tablet. Yeast used was Nottingham (rehydrated). Made up to 4 1/2 gallons, OG 1050.
If this tastes anything like proper Newcastle Brown I'll be happy. Obviously mine will be a little stronger but I'm hoping the taste won't be too far away. Anyone else made one of these?

Glad to hear your routine is getting slick, BB. Let us know how it turns out.

I'll move this to brewdays, since that's what it is, really.

I'm keeping my eye on this thread- seen the kit advertised but not taken the plunge yet.
Any updates Blackbag?
