0.30 kg Sugar, Table (Sucrose) (2.0 EBC) Sugar 4.30 %
1 Pkgs Muntons Premier Gold Yeast

My question is, i have noticed on some topics that people have mentioned using more than one packet of yeast for a 23l brew. With my expected OG of 1071 would it be advisable to use two packets of yeast or is peoples experience of the Mutons OK. I read somewhere that it has a high alcohol tolerance. I hope to get this down to about 1015ish

Comes in at 1.6 (11g) packets so I'd use two.

The problem is those Munton's packs are only 5g. You'll need 3.3 according to Mr. Malty's Pitching Rate Calculator.

Checked on the web and it comes in 6g packs. Does say it OK for 23L but i'll take advice and pitch more. Maybe i'll go back to S04 for this as i have a couple of packs of that. What do you think?

S04 is a great yeast. I don't think you can wrong with it for English styles.
