7am on a Saturday is far too early.... water heating for this one - gonna leave it to mash while I pop out (got a 25kg bag of malt to collect :D )

23L:

4.1kg Maris Otter
360g Crystal
40g Chocolate
100g Torrified Wheat

Fuggles 4.5% 55g 90min
EKG 4.1% 15g 15min
EDIT: Fuggles 16g 0min

Reuse the skimmed Hopback yeast from the last brew.

Just go and finish weighing grains...

Will be using some Wolf yeast harvested from the last brew.

Bloody 'ell Stonechat....what time did you get up?

I'm technically "brewing" today......at least I've got a yeast starter underway for tomorrow or Monday! Problem is, I've got a floor to tile as well....and she wants it done before I can brew!

:( (I've got some jobs to do later too...)

Mine is in the boiler - 30L sparged at 1037 - should be about 1042-44 ish by the time I'm done. Also, have about 15g of Fuggles I may chuck in to use up at 0 min.

Just pitched 173g of Wolf yeast barm into 26 litres that finished up with an OG of 1043. Now for the worst bit of this lark: scrubbing out the boiler

Hope your Early Morning Bitter works out a good un out there in sunny Oxfordshire :D

Right - another one in the FV then :)

5 gallons at 1042 - put a litre of cooled wort in to wake the yeast up about 40 min before pitching and it started to go off like the clappers - so a good sign. Must make a blow off tube...
