Bottling a Brewmaster Cider kit

Post by BritishBelgianTwst » Fri Mar 13, 2009 8:38 am

Hi,
I've just bought a Brewmaster Cider Deluxe kit and was wondering if I'm OK to use beer bottles - the importer here in Belgium says I need to use champagne bottles and corks.
If I can't use beer bottles can I use a corny?

Thanks,
Paul
Drinking: Corny 1 - some beer
Corny 2 - some more beer
Bottled - a few different beers
Planning: TC
Elderberry wine

Beer bottles should be fine, I think your supplier is being a bit "French" about it

should be grand in beer bottles, the bottle wont know whether its cider or beer yer puttin in it? If your scared of bottle bombs whack it in some pet bottles and just keep a check on the pressure by leaving space at the top and let some pressure out when it gets rock hard and the bottom of the bottle starts to round off like mine did!!!

enjoy !
