Woodforde Wherry sugar questions

Post by Derbybrewer » Sun Nov 22, 2009 1:23 pm

Hi,

I'm brand new here and only on my 4th brew so here comes the dumb question

All of the kits so far have required me to add 1kg of sugar at first fermentation. The Wooforde's Wherry kit I got started on today has no mention of adding sugar except to add the 1/2 teaspoon per bottle at bottling stage.

Is that correct or should it be obvious to me that I need to add 1kg sugar at first fermentation stage?

Help appreciated.

There is no extra sugar needed to be added to the Woodefordes kits, all you need to do is add the correct amount of water and the yeast.
