Google didn't find anything so you may be out of luck. Wells say the barley and hops are English.

I think that recipe is from 'Clone Brews'.

Thanks gents.
Thats the Forst one. I have to try find some amber malt in Norway now....... thats a challenge in itself. Can it be replaced with anything else for example?
Any Bombardier???

I've just found this
http://www.brewboard.com/index.php?s=10 ... pic=109479
which might help you get close. For OG cask Bombardier is about 4.3% with the bottled being about 1% stronger. I think the post mentioning Challenger and Fuggles sounds right. It might not end up like the original but it should still taste good.

Re: Bishops finger + bombardier
So i'm looking at an OG around the 1044 mark.
Thats a great start, i just need to work out the amount of MO, but can't do that til i get to beersmith later today.
Think i'll do as siggested and use Fuggles as aroma hops, on the grounds i do not have EKG.
Challenger to aroud the 34 IBU mark should be good.
Let the next brewdays hurry up and arrive......

Re: Bishops finger + bombardier
I mailed the Charles wells brwery and must say i was rather disappointed by their response.
Basically the head brewer said that even if i had the entire recipe i would never be able to clone it so there really was not point in trying.
Either way, he did say they use challenger and goldings hops so at least thats a start.
After the new year i will look to brewing from the link eearlier in this threasd and changing the aroma to goldings, those i have have no Alpha value on them and the supplier never knew either so i guess i should take it as the standard base line alpha value in beersmith.

Re: Bishops finger + bombardier
Hi. I brewed a Hobgoblin clone but mine turned out tasting more like Bombardier. I had a can of it the week before and this one really did taste similar from what I could remember; maybe I was just tasting the fuggles quite well. I'll have to buy a can and give it another go, can't get Hobgoblin over here so will have to wait till I'm in England next
Here's the link for the Hob Goblin recipe if you're interested. I changed it a bit for mine though. I used Goldings instead of the Styrians, made 21 liters, used 2.5kg of spraymalt and added about 150g of sugar. It's about 5% too.
