Rousing Yeast

Rousing Yeast

In my post on Wyeast Ringwood the last post said that it needs regular rousing. When doing this should I actually stir the sediment up or just gently agitate the wort. I appreciate that now spalshing should tkat palce to prevent oxygen entering the wort.
