This is a recipe in tribute to my faithful hound, Old Meg

I was looking for a ruby red ale with a big malty taste and subtle hop nose and flavour. The roasted amber malt comes through quite strong even at 110g

23 L brew OG 1045

4.00 Kg Maris Otter pale malt
0.23 Kg Crystal malt 40L
0.23 Kg Crystal malt 120L
0.11 Kg Amber malt
0.11 Kg Molasses
0.11 Kg Brown sugar
28 g Fuggles hops at start of boil
28 g Fuggles hops 20 minutes from flame out
