Yeast Vial

I have a vial of yeast in my fridge that i aquired recently. It has kind of clumped together, is it dead? :|

What's the best before and how's it been kept? In a fridge the whole time?

Dont recall best before date im afraid, in fridge as soon as received for about 1.5 weeks now

That's normal, especially for some of the flocculant strains like English ale yeast.

I just dump it as a clump into a starter and give it a shake. I find if you shake it in the vial after it's being warming up it can spray out when you open it.
