Off work today as we've got some artexers in. What better opportunity to fix the Beer Drought. :wink:

Three beers will be made today - the first 2 are parti-gyled (mashed and boiled as one then split).

Munich Helles Lager / Cherry Ale

OG 1.050 IBU 21

40 Litres

Lager Malt 9.5kg
Munich Malt 480g
Melanoidin 120g

US Magnum (13.1%) 26g start of boil

Split into 2x20L. Ferment one with Saflager W34-70 and the other with Gervin/Nottingham. Add 250ml of Cherry Concentrate to secondary of Cherry Ale.

BBB - Big Boys Bitter

OG 1037 28 IBU

20 Litres

Pale Malt 3.41kg
Crystal 340g
Roast Barley 40g

CHallenger (7%) 25g - All Of Boil
Goldings (5.5%) 15g - Last 15
Goldings (5.5%) 15g - Turn Off

Ferment with Safale S-04

In the last 15 of the first one and it's not even 11 yet. There are advantages to starting at 6am!
