anyone tried progress and fuggles?

going to make a beer sunday. was going for marstons pedigree. but upon looking in the freezer i see i have some progress to use up. so as anyone tried progress and fuggle combo. going to use the same grain bill out of graham wheelers book for 19 litres then use progress and fuggle pellets to try my new hop filter.! any suggestions?

I believe Progress was developed as a replacement for Fuggles, so presumably they'll produce similar flavours. I've used them together, but always with Goldings as well. I can't see any problem if you want a Fuggle-like taste.

I have used both and progress Was intended as a replacement for fuggles and the flavours are very similar, so similar that you may as well use either one or the other. If anything Progress is a little more intense and a little sweeter, try progress with stella. A supa doopa fuggle with EKG type brew.
