Bang on Hoegaarden clone, possible or not

Post by andyCo » Fri Feb 24, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi
Is it possible to create a bang on hoegaarden clone.
I've brewed Dave'o hoegaardenish superb clone 3 times now and tho its a bloody nice (thanks Dave) for me its not quite there.
I've also brewed a Blanche Oreiller, which again was great but no hoe
When I tasted them back to back I would say a real hoe tastes slightly sweeter.

Just wondered if it's possible.

Everythings possible.

I'd try the real Hoegaarden yeast with Dave'o recipe TBH. It does make a rather nice beer!

It will taste a hell of a lot better through a hoegaarden pump, There is a special flavour enhancing device in built which adds those finishing sweet flavour touches.

:) :) :)

+1 for the Dave-o recipe its very good. The first wheat i made was a kit and i gave it all away, then i did dave-o's recipe and its a great beer.
Dont forget the organic oranges though so theres no wax on the skins.I plan to make again once it warms up a bit.
Regards Dean.
