Out of date Videne - Help!
Was going to get a brew on tomorrow and when I looked at my bottle of videne it expired on 27-5-2012. Is it lost, or is it just an arbitrary date and can I still use it as a no rinse sanitiser?

Would have thought it'd be fine.

I would say it is ok. After all manufacturers will reduce the shelf life of a product to prevent any claims arising from goods being used on the last day of shown shelf life.

Also don't forget that it is a medical product, and therefore the dates will be ultra cautious, I'm sure it'll be fine. Does nean I need to go and check my videne, never looked at the date!

Thanks, I kind of thought that but it's best to make sure.

As a rough guide. There is a safety factor of +1/4 on most "chemicals". So if it says use within 1 month of opening. you should be safe for 5.5 - 6 weeks approx.
