Bottle hygene

When I pour our the contents of a bottle of homebrew into a glass the first thing I do is triple rinse the bottle and then place upside down on the draining board overnight.
In the morning I cover the top in a bit of cling film and put in it in the shed until I next need it.
During the bottling of my previous batch I decided I would spare two bottles from the usual sanitising regime and simply take off cling film, fill bottle & cap.
Having drank the contents of those two bottles tonight I cannot tell any difference to those that were thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.
Have I just got lucky on this occasion or have I been wasting my time with all that cleaning malarky?

Bloody good idea that. Although I seldom bottle a full 40 pint batch that will turn an 1 1/2 hour job into an 1/2 hour job.
Thanks very much indeed.
